노란후리지아

1866년 독일 식물학자인 Friedrich Freese의 이름을 따서 명명되었다.

남아프리카의 케냐 남부에서 케이프주에서 야생에 존재합니다.

일반적으로 "Freesias"로 알려진 식물은 깔때기 모양의 꽃과 다른 여러가지 재배 교잡종을 말한다.

다른 구근처럼 적당한 추운 겨울을 나야 꽃눈이 형성되고 이듬해에 꽃을 피우지만 내한성이 아주 강한건 아니여서 

너무 추운 경우 -3.9℃이하 구근이 열어 죽어서 노지월동에는 어려움이 있습니다.

최적온도는 주간 온도는 16℃~21℃와 야간 온도는 7℃~13℃일때 가장 잘자랍니다.
